About Us

Take Control Movement (TCM) is a nonprofit organization providing movement-based behavioral support for youth who are adopted, in foster care, or living with developmental disabilities. Through trauma-informed physical activity, staff training, and real-world social experiences, TCM helps youth build emotional regulation, confidence, and resilience. Founded by Arlene Lopez Martinez, TCM is driven by a deep commitment to creating safe, empowering spaces where every child has the chance to grow and thrive.
